Yoga for Pelvic Floor Workshop
Sunday, April 26th (12-2pm) with Cherish Gould
Details
Come join Cherish on Sunday, April 26th (12-2pm) for a women's workshop centered around pelvic floor health and learn techniques for strengthening, lengthening and bringing awareness to your pelvic floor. This workshop will begin with a guided meditation focused on directing the breath and awareness to the base of the body, increasing comfort and sensitivity within the entire pelvic bowl. Together, we will gently open and balance the energetic centers of safety and self-nourishment, cultivating a deep sense of grounding, stability, and inner support. Led by Certified Yoga Therapist, Cherish Gould, this trauma-informed workshop is thoughtfully designed to support women who are in the midst of postpartum recovery, experiencing core weakness, pelvic instability, or bladder concerns such as leakage or urgency. With an emphasis on safety, choice, and body awareness, you’ll be guided in a way that honors your unique experience and pace. You'll be guided through restorative yoga postures designed to both strengthen and release the pelvic floor. Special attention will be given to rebuilding the connection between the breath, core, and pelvic floor—supporting functional strength, healing, and improved daily movement patterns. This workshop offers a supportive space to reconnect with your body, restore confidence, and build sustainable strength from within. All practices are gentle, accessible, and adaptable, with modifications and options provided throughout. What else to expect: ∙ Learn the tennis ball technique for a self-guided piriformis massage, including the hip flexors and lateral side of the hips, to release common areas of postpartum tension. ∙ Explore practical ways to support core recovery and integrate pelvic floor awareness into everyday movement, posture, and lifting. ∙ Learn to engage the Mula Bandha (root lock) in a functional, supportive way to encourage grounding, reduce discomfort, and improve core stability—without strain. ∙ Develop a deeper understanding of when to engage and when to relax the pelvic floor to help address symptoms like leaking, heaviness, or tightness. ∙ Be gently guided into an earth meditation and enjoy a deeply restful savasana to close the practice, leaving you feeling calm, supported, and reconnected.
